Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralph Drysdale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Corbett! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corbett throws a nice looking combination but Drysdale bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Drysdale closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Corbett makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Corbett. Corbett is looking to stand up but Drysdale isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Corbett holds on and takes a little breather. Corbett keeping full guard, as Drysdale tries to pass. Corbett has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Drysdale off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Drysdale shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Corbett lands a glancing blow to the side of Drysdale's head. Corbett moves into range and connects with a jab. A jab lands there for Corbett. Corbett loads up on a big right hand but Drysdale slips the punch. Jab, jab by Corbett - just one landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A jab from Corbett misses.

It looks like Nathan Corbett has been cut. Corbett lunges at Drysdale with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Drysdale's hand. Drysdale misses with a takedown attempt - Corbett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Corbett misses with a straight left. Corbett misses with a hook. Drysdale walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Corbett misses the jab. Drysdale tries for a takedown but Corbett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Drysdale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Corbett tries to bum rush Drysdale with a series of wild strikes but Drysdale uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Corbett throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Drysdale counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drysdale wants to pass the guard but Corbett is keeping the position. Drysdale won't allow Corbett to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corbett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Corbett looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Corbett is trying to keep Drysdale in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. An inside leg kick lands from Corbett. Drysdale is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Drysdale moves away from the strike by Corbett. Drysdale slips a jab from Corbett. Corbett misses with a low kick as Drysdale jumps back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corbett misses with a low kick.
Drysdale shoots in and drives through. Corbett sprawls well. Drysdale shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Corbett is working to get back to half guard.
Drysdale wants to finish this one by submission but Corbett is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Drysdale. Drysdale goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Corbett turns into him and now he's in Drysdale's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Corbett with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corbett wants to stand but Drysdale is controlling his posture from full guard. Drysdale keeping moving, preventing Corbett from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drysdale has momentary wrist control but Corbett slips an elbow through the middle. Drysdale throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Corbett stands up from Drysdale's guard - Corbett perhaps looking for a knockout. Drysdale fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corbett connects with the punch. Corbett moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Corbett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Drysdale circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nathan Corbett will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nathan Corbett's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A telegraphed right hand from Corbett misses the target. Corbett stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Corbett throws out a loose jab but Drysdale uses good head movement to avoid it. Drysdale slips a jab from Corbett. Drysdale shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corbett as he avoids it easily. Drysdale looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corbett is fending him off so far but Drysdale persists. Nope, Corbett circles away and we're back to standing. Drysdale swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Drysdale ducks under a wild hook from Corbett. Drysdale checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Drysdale defending well as Corbett loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corbett feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Drysdale's calf. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drysdale tries to move into range but Corbett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Corbett missing with a left hand there. Drysdale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Corbett misses with a combination
and Drysdale counters with a single leg into guard. Corbett didn't expect that.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Corbett throws a hook but Drysdale avoids it easily. Drysdale bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Corbett misses with a looping left. Nathan Corbett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drysdale fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Drysdale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Corbett lands a jab to the nose. Corbett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Drysdale's head. Drysdale shoots in for a double leg but Corbett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Corbett misses with a straight left. Corbett throws a jab but it's blocked by Drysdale. Corbett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Corbett as Drysdale shoots in. Corbett throws a leg kick which misses Drysdale's front leg but catches the back leg as Drysdale tries to avoid it. Nathan Corbett seems to be getting the better of the standup. Drysdale takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Drysdale takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drysdale ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Drysdale avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Corbett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Drysdale has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Corbett finds it's way round the side to connect with Drysdale's head. Corbett throws a right hand that Drysdale ducks under and follows up with a left that Drysdale also avoids with ease. Drysdale changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corbett tries to avoid it but Drysdale manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corbett to the ground. Corbett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corbett lands a jab. Good leg kick by Corbett there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Drysdale takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Corbett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nathan Corbett's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Corbett throws a right and a left that both miss. Drysdale uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Corbett. Corbett scores with a hook. Drysdale slips a jab from Corbett. Corbett throws out a leg kick but Drysdale moves out of range and Corbett only half commits. Nice jab there from Drysdale. The fighters circle momentarily. Drysdale darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Drysdale shoots in but no luck this time. Corbett cracks Drysdale with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Drysdale shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Some wild striking there from Corbett.

Corbett is looking to slow Drysdale down with leg kicks. Corbett lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Some wild striking there from Corbett.

Nice jab there from Drysdale. Drysdale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Corbett as he jumps to the side. Drysdale looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Corbett throws a jab when Drysdale was well out of range. Ralph Drysdale has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corbett works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Corbett throws a looping overhand right but Drysdale ducks down to avoid it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drysdale. Corbett throws a right and a left that Drysdale avoids nicely. Corbett paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Corbett misses with a wild combination.
Drysdale takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nathan Corbett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Corbett stuffs the takedown attempt from Drysdale. Drysdale gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Good shot there by Corbett. Drysdale fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Corbett cracks Drysdale with a good jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Corbett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Corbett winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
