Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Weaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Dickstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Weaver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kim Dickstein! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickstein throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Weaver's waist but Weaver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dickstein off to one side. Dickstein throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Weaver is looking to land body kicks. Dickstein misses with a series of wild punches.
Dickstein tries to keep at a distance but Weaver has taken the fight into the clinch. Weaver is looking to break free of the clinch but Dickstein has double underhooks. Weaver breaks the clinch.
Dickstein shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Weaver throws a push kick but Dickstein slaps the foot to one side. Weaver clinches with his opponent.
Weaver pulls guard successfully.
Weaver looking to control.
Dickstein decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Weaver, up you get! Weaver shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dickstein's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Weaver stays in close to Dickstein's body and controls the position. Dickstein is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weaver controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Weaver throwing strikes but missing. Dickstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Weaver is controlling him. Dickstein wants to get back to his feet but Weaver passes into half guard.
Weaver is looking to advance position but Dickstein won't allow it. Weaver gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Weaver looks for a takedown but Dickstein sprawls well. Dickstein fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Weaver. Weaver moves in looking to clinch but Dickstein pushes him off. Dickstein with a lazy takedown attempt and Weaver counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. David Weaver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Dickstein. Dickstein looks gassed! Weaver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dickstein wants to stand but Weaver is controlling the position. Weaver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Weaver moves into the clinch. Weaver breaks the clinch.
Weaver closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Weaver lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weaver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. David Weaver just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Weaver looks for a takedown but Dickstein sprawls well. Dickstein doesn't succeed with the takedown and Weaver counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weaver passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dickstein! Weaver controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Weaver dominated that round. That's time! Weaver's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Weaver looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dickstein! Dickstein wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Weaver scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Weaver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weaver mounts Dickstein! Really nice guard pass there! Dickstein is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Weaver's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Weaver is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dickstein can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Dickstein is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Weaver controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee stands the fighters back up. David Weaver just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Dickstein tries for a takedown but Weaver circles away easily and Weaver counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Weaver trying to control the pace. Weaver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dickstein pushes Weaver off looking to stand but Weaver dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weaver decides to return to a standing position. Weaver scores with a takedown into Dickstein's guard. Weaver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Weaver gets to his feet. Dickstein looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Dickstein wants to clinch but Weaver slips to the side and Weaver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dickstein's guard. Dickstein is looking to stand up but Weaver isn't so interested in that idea. Weaver is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dickstein kicks Weaver off and gets to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dickstein misses with a takedown attempt and Weaver counters with a slapping leg kick. Dickstein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Weaver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dickstein's guard. David Weaver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Dickstein. Weaver stops Dickstein from standing up. Weaver sitting in guard here, content to control. Weaver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dickstein swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dickstein wants to stand up but Weaver is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Weaver dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Dickstein throws a big shot that misses. Weaver wants to clinch. Weaver looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dickstein! You get the feeling that Dickstein really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Weaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Weaver can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dickstein is looking to escape. Dickstein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickstein tries to buck Weaver off but he can't manage it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Weaver sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Weaver breaks from Dickstein's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dickstein squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Weaver lands a heavy elbow. Weaver landing punches. Weaver is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dickstein is surviving well by controlling Weaver's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weaver with shots to the head and body - Dickstein looks very uncomfortable down there. Weaver looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Weaver is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dickstein can do to turn this around? Weaver in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Dickstein is trying to stand up. Weaver controlling from mount. Dickstein is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Dickstein is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Weaver has taken his back! Weaver is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Weaver seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dickstein for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Weaver is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Dickstein. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Weaver lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Weaver.
Weaver controls the action. Weaver loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Dickstein hold on?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Weaver is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Dickstein trying to get back to his feet but Weaver is in full control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! David Weaver showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Weaver, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
