The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Etchasketch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jass listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Etchasketch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jass .
Jass could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Etchasketch lands with a kick to the temple. Jass shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Hugh Jass has been cut.
Etchasketch misses with a body shot.
Etchasketch darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Etchasketch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Erich Etchasketch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Etchasketch. No joy for Jass on that attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jass misses with an uppercut. Etchasketch saw that one coming.

Etchasketch drives through and clinches with Jass against the cage.

Jass tries to pull guard but Etchasketch holds him up against the cage and eventually Jass drops back down to his feet.

Jass tries to pull guard but Etchasketch holds him up against the cage and eventually Jass drops back down to his feet.
Etchasketch lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jass backwards.

Etchasketch lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Etchasketch keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jass 's efforts to push away.
Etchasketch working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Hugh Jass 's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Etchasketch unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jass lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
