Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Meechum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Gatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Meechum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Gatt! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatt darts in looking for a takedown but Meechum gets double underhooks and turns Gatt into the cage. Meechum tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gatt manages to circle out of the way. Gatt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gatt fails with a takedown attempt. Meechum misses with a body shot.
Gatt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Meechum wants to get back to his feet but Gatt is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Meechum keeping full guard, as Gatt tries to pass. Meechum wants to stand and escape but Gatt is having none of it. Gatt working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Meechum's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meechum keeping moving, preventing Gatt from controlling successfully. Meechum not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gatt trying to control but Meechum is working from the bottom. Gatt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Meechum is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Meechum has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gatt seems keen to control Meechum's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gatt working a defensive guard here.
Gatt keeping full guard, as Meechum tries to pass. Gatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meechum doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gatt is tightening it up a little... Meechum has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Meechum reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Meechum taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gatt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jordan Gatt! After winning the bout, Jordan Gatt thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
