Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aloysius Wiremu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiremu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Billy Joel - The River of Dreams. Guillermo Mendez acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiremu lands a lovely overhand right.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mendez is looking to work some ground and pound but Wiremu has wrist control.

Wiremu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wiremu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mendez.

Mendez tries to keep at a distance but Wiremu has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wiremu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mendez or not.

Wiremu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Mendez is rocked!
Wiremu creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Mendez's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Mendez drops to his knees and Wiremu pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aloysius Wiremu!
After winning the bout, Aloysius Wiremu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Guillermo Mendez was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry fans'.
