Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bricks Thrower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Anderson! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thrower shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Anderson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thrower defends it well. Thrower lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Thrower.
It looks like Jon Anderson has been cut. Thrower has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.

Thrower breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Anderson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thrower. Anderson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Thrower misses with a two punch combination.
Anderson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Thrower shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thrower's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Thrower looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bricks Thrower. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thrower tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Anderson replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Thrower blocks it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thrower throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Anderson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Thrower tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes. A nice side step and Anderson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Thrower is breathing heavily. Thrower fails to land the takedown. Thrower fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thrower throws a series of punches but Anderson moves out of range. Thrower changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Thrower manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Thrower fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Thrower misses. Thrower pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Anderson back to the cage. Thrower follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Bricks Thrower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thrower doesn't manage to clinch there - Anderson circles away.
Thrower shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Thrower's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Anderson wants to counter the offense by Thrower and move into the clinch position. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thrower. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thrower fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Anderson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Thrower missing with a left hand there. Anderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Anderson feints the counter takedown. Thrower shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thrower gets slowly back to his feet. Anderson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thrower closes this distance looking for a takedown but Anderson circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thrower. No luck for Thrower with that takedown attempt. Anderson appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Anderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thrower. Thrower closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Thrower pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Anderson replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Thrower blocks it well. Sloppy strikes from Thrower. Those never looked like landing. Anderson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Thrower looks to throw the jab but Anderson is out of range.

A nice side step and Anderson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Thrower misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Thrower throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily. Anderson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thrower defends it well. Thrower throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Anderson leaves Thrower with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Anderson wants to counter with a clinch but Thrower pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bricks Thrower dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jon Anderson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Thrower tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Thrower looks to land a combination. Anderson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Thrower clinches up against the cage. Thrower's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Thrower pulls guard. Anderson trying to control but Thrower is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thrower seems keen to control Anderson's posture. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Thrower is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson wants to stand but Thrower is controlling his posture from full guard. Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thrower bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anderson's guard.
Thrower decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Anderson, up you get! Thrower lands a two punch combo.
Thrower shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Thrower moves into range and clinches up with Anderson. Anderson is trying to maintain a safe position but Thrower gets an underhook and turns Anderson into the cage. Thrower pulls guard. Thrower looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson trying to control but Thrower is working from the bottom. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Thrower is retaining full guard. Thrower trying to control the position here. Thrower keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thrower looking for a sweep. Not yet Thrower, not yet. Anderson wants to control from the top but Thrower keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Thrower lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Thrower moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thrower ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thrower no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Thrower pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage. Anderson wants to control from the top but Thrower keeps moving.

Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Thrower postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Thrower connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Anderson's hands.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thrower shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Thrower keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thrower thuds a left hand into Anderson's body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thrower is looking to land body kicks. Jon Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bricks Thrower is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thrower tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Anderson is able to avoid easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Bricks Thrower showed his dominance in that final round. Well Thrower has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
