Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Allan Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdollah Assad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Allan Wooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdollah Assad! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assad misses with a looping right. Wooten appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Assad shoots in for a takedown but Wooten shows good takedown defense. Wooten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Assad has Wooten up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooten is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Wooten stalling in the clinch but Assad improves position. Wooten seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Assad is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wooten pulls guard successfully.
Assad controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Assad gets to his feet - Wooten follows without any prompting. Wooten stuffs the takedown attempt from Assad. Assad gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Assad. Wooten tries to counter with a takedown but Assad is quick to defend against it. Assad closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wooten decides to pull guard. Assad lands a couple of decent looking shots. Assad stopping the sweep attempt from Wooten. Wooten controls Assad momentarily but Assad frees himself. Assad pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wooten is keeping the position for now. Assad must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Assad seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Assad tries to free his leg and advance position but Wooten is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Assad is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Assad pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wooten is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wooten holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Assad lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Assad content to stall in guard here. Assad is looking to stand up but Wooten won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooten throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wooten controls Assad momentarily but Assad frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wooten leaves Assad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wooten tries to counter by clinching up but Assad breaks away and moves out of range. Allan Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdollah Assad. Assad fails with a takedown attempt. Assad closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wooten could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Assad misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wooten.
Assad is trying to break free. Wooten managing to block the knees to the body from Assad.
Wooten drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Assad fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Assad tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Assad looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Assad looking to slow down the pace here. Assad goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wooten prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abdollah Assad dominated that round. That's time! Wooten's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Assad has a takedown stuffed. Wooten avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Assad fails with a takedown attempt. Wooten seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Wooten stuffs the takedown attempt from Assad. Assad gets slowly back to his feet. Wooten attempts a counter takedown but Assad avoids it well and moves away. Allan Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdollah Assad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Assad shoots in for a takedown but Wooten shows good takedown defense. Assad shoots in but Wooten avoids the takedown attempt easily. Allan Wooten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assad closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wooten manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Assad tries to break the clinch but Wooten is controlling the position. Wooten pulls guard effortlessly. Assad engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooten is looking for a triangle here but Assad uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
A lull in the action here. Assad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wooten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooten is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Assad off and has taken his back! Wooten doesn't have the hooks in and Assad manages to turn into his guard.
Assad with a nice head shot there. Assad stands and steps away. Wooten gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Assad misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wooten's waist but Wooten gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Assad off to one side. Assad gets in close and instigates a clinch. Assad throws an elbow but it misses.
Assad is trying to maintain a safe position but Wooten gets an underhook and turns Assad into the cage. Assad is trying to pull guard but Wooten turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wooten drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Assad gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Assad wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wooten jumps guard and drags Assad to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Assad stays in close to Wooten's body and controls the position. Assad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wooten swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wooten wants to improve his position but instead Assad has moved into half guard.
Wooten tries to roll over but Assad keeps him under control. Assad stalling. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Assad seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Allan Wooten will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Assad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wooten avoids it really well and circles away. Assad shoots in and drives through. Wooten sprawls well. Wooten feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Assad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Assad lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Assad with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Assad working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wooten's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assad wants to stand and escape but instead Wooten has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wooten loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wooten preventing the sweep. Assad wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Assad is continuing to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Assad can do anything to dispel that myth. Assad has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Wooten has passed into side control.
Assad tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wooten wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Wooten working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooten wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Assad, who protects the arm well. Assad tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Assad is desperately trying to improve his position but Wooten has a good base and remains in mount. Assad is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Allan Wooten overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assad tries to hold on but Wooten pushes him away. Assad wants to get back to his feet.
Assad tries to hold on but Wooten postures up. Assad is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Assad is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Assad is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Assad wants to try and get back to his feet. Assad keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Assad sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Assad blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wooten. Wooten prevents Assad from improving his position. Assad controlling the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Allan Wooten showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wooten has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
