Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Loren Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Vlasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Vlasov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Loren Guy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oleg Vlasov! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guy seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Vlasov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guy's guard. Guy kicks Vlasov off and gets to his feet. Guy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It looked like Guy was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Guy stuffs the takedown attempt from Vlasov. Vlasov gets slowly back to his feet. Vlasov throws a head kick that misses. Guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Vlasov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Guy moves into the clinch. Vlasov just leaning against Guy, taking a breather. Vlasov fails to pull guard.
Loren Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Vlasov. Guy throws an elbow but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vlasov stalling against the cage.
Guy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vlasov is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Vlasov circles away and we're back to standing. Guy wants to clinch. Vlasov throws a sloppy head kick and Guy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vlasov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Guy. Guy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vlasov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Guy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy throwing strikes but missing. Guy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Guy lands a couple of elbows. Vlasov wants to sweep here but Guy controlling him for the moment. Guy with a flurry of punches that miss. Guy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vlasov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Guy gets to his feet - Vlasov follows without any prompting. Oleg Vlasov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guy keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Guy wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Danga de danga de dang - Vlasov scores with a four punch combination! This has been an exciting period of action! Vlasov shoots in looking for a takedown but Guy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vlasov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. As Vlasov looks to move away, Guy throws a big counter combo but Vlasov just gets out of the way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vlasov shoots and misses and Guy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Guy tries to pull guard but Vlasov forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Guy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vlasov smiles and moves away.
Vlasov gets the takedown into side control. Guy wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Guy tries to improve position but can't. Guy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vlasov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Guy is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vlasov in particular looking to stall. Guy wants to improve his position but Vlasov is controlling well.
Guy is looking to get back to full guard here but Vlasov has managed to pass to side control instead. Guy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vlasov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Vlasov tries to move into full mount but can't pass Guy's legs.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vlasov stands up. Guy stuffs the takedown. It looked like Guy was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've been informed that Vlasov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Vlasov with a lazy takedown attempt and Guy counters with a series of strikes. Vlasov will be more careful next time no doubt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guy throws a sloppy head kick and Vlasov moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Loren Guy dominated that round. That's time! Guy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Vlasov instigates a clinch. Vlasov is trying to break the clinch but Guy has him pressed against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Guy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vlasov can do to turn this around? Guy tries to pull guard but Vlasov holds him up against the cage and eventually Guy drops back down to his feet.
Guy is working for takedown but Vlasov is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vlasov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Guy avoids it. Vlasov is trying to break free.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy pulls guard. Vlasov passes Guy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Guy wants to get back to full guard. Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy. Guy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vlasov defends it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vlasov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Guy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Guy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vlasov stacks Guy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vlasov! Vlasov working the ground and pound. Vlasov is chipping away with strikes.
Guy is trying to control Vlasov's posture but Vlasov avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy is trying to escape the position but Vlasov is controlling the position. Guy is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Guy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vlasov decides to stand back up. Vlasov steps back and let's Guy get back to his feet. Vlasov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You can see the frustration on Guy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Vlasov lands a nice forearm strike. Loren Guy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vlasov stands up and beckons Guy to his feet. Vlasov looks to land a combination. Guy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Guy is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vlasov dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Guy has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Oleg Vlasov! Oleg Vlasov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
