Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quiero Taco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spencer has chosen Sirius as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quiero Taco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Spencer! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taco slaps away a takedown attempt from Spencer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Taco lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Spencer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spencer looking to control but Taco passes into half guard.
Taco perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taco has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Taco works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spencer seems a little lost for a moment, as Taco dominates the positioning. Spencer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Taco decides to stand up, so the ref orders Spencer to his feet. Spencer goes for a double leg but Taco avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taco continues to drive forward. Quiero Taco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Spencer. Taco clinches up against the cage. Taco is working Spencer over against the cage. Spencer wants to take the fight to the mat but Taco manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taco is leaning against Spencer and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Spencer wants a takedown but no success here.
Spencer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Taco just stands there and leans against the cage. Spencer tries for a takedown. No joy.

Taco tries to throw a body punch but Spencer avoids it by throwing Taco back against the cage. Spencer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Taco pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Taco decides to stand back up. Taco pushes Spencer up against the cage in a clinch. Spencer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Taco has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Spencer shoots in and drives through. Taco sprawls well. Spencer dives in and grabs Taco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taco pushes down on Spencer's head and hops out. Taco lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Taco shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spencer defends it nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taco is defended easily by Spencer. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taco clinches up with Spencer and pushes him back against the cage. Taco breaks the clinch.

Taco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spencer defends well and Taco ends up having to push Spencer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Horrible takedown attempt by Spencer or perhaps it was just good defense by Taco, which made it look bad. Spencer has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Taco is landing a low percentage of strikes. Nice takedown defense from Taco. No joy for Spencer on that attempt. Taco clinches up with Spencer and pushes him back against the cage. Spencer wants a takedown.
Quiero Taco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Spencer. Taco will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Spencer up against the cage. Taco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Taco shoots in looking for a takedown but Spencer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Taco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Spencer with the counter takedown but Taco avoids it easily. Taco stuffs the takedown attempt from Spencer. Spencer gets slowly back to his feet. Taco fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Taco dives in and scores a takedown into Spencer's guard. Taco forces his way into half guard. Taco is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taco controlling his opponent. Taco stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Spencer shoots in for a takedown but Taco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Taco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spencer sprawls well. Spencer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Taco gets slowly back to his feet. Taco looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Taco misses with a takedown attempt - Spencer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. No luck with that takedown attempt from Taco. Spencer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Spencer has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Taco after a bit of a struggle. Taco lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Taco pushes Spencer back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Taco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Taco closes the distance and clinches. Spencer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Taco fights it off and pushes away nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Quiero Taco showed his dominance in that final round. Well Taco has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
