Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stephen Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curtis Giles! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Giles rushes Drake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Drake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Giles misses with a combination
and Drake counters with a left and a right that stings Giles. Giles clinches with his opponent.
Drake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drake tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sloppy strikes from Giles. Those never looked like landing. Giles closes the distance looking to clinch and Drake counters with a three punch combo that has Giles backing up. Giles nods at Drake to acknowledge the strikes. Giles misses with a wild combination.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Drake lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Giles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Giles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Drake bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Giles bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Giles throws a right and a left that Drake avoids nicely. Giles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Drake counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Giles is lucky that one didn't land flush. Giles wants to clinch. Drake went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Giles moves out of range of the body kick from Drake.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Giles drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Giles stands up and waves to Drake to follow him. Giles stuffs the takedown attempt from Drake. Drake gets slowly back to his feet. Drake shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Giles kicks Drake off and gets back to his feet. Giles throws a combination that misses and Drake holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Giles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Drake scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Drake drives through with a takedown into guard. Drake has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Giles avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Drake in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drake prevents Giles from getting back to his feet. The fighters are working up against the cage. Giles manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Drake tries to pull guard but Giles won't allow it.
Drake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Curtis Giles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Giles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drake as he jumps to the side. Giles clinches with his opponent.

A close round but Curtis Giles will probably get the nod. That's time! Drake's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Drake changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Giles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Drake throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Drake is looking to take a break and control but Giles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drake working the body and head with strikes. An elbow from Drake crashes against the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giles bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Stephen Drake is winning the standup battle so far. Drake goes for a double leg but Giles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Giles continues to drive forward. Drake misses with a hook. Giles ducked under it nicely. Giles forces Drake back against the cage and clinches.

Drake misses with a takedown attempt - Giles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Giles misses with a combination

Drake wants to get back to his feet but Giles is dominant here and he's now got Drake's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Giles stands up from back control! Strange decision that!

That was a close second round but I would say that Stephen Drake will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

As Giles looks to move away, Drake throws a big counter combo but Giles just gets out of the way. Drake with a poor takedown and Giles counters with a series of strikes. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Drake drops down looking for a counter takedown but Giles sprawls and moves away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Drake throws a sloppy head kick and Giles moves out of range easily. Despite the aggression on Giles's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Drake avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Giles misses with a takedown attempt and Drake counters with a nice low kick that buckles Giles's knee momentarily. Giles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stephen Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Giles. Giles takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Drake tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Giles swivels and escapes. Giles closes the distance looking to clinch and Drake counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Giles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Giles gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Giles has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Drake has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Giles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Giles looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Drake drops down looking for a counter takedown but Giles sprawls and moves away.
