Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Waller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benjamin Waller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Greene! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greene misses with a jab, cross combination.
Waller feints and as Greene raises his hands in defense, Waller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Greene is looking to stand back up but Waller counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Greene. Greene wants to get back to his feet.
Waller seems to be looking for submissions.
Waller is taking a breather. Greene says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Greene is trying to stand.
Waller slows the pace down in half guard. Waller stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Greene throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Waller. Waller feinted there with a counter leg kick. Greene misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Greene throws a series of punches but Waller avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Waller gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Greene slaps away a takedown attempt from Waller, before circling back to the center of the mat. Greene is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Greene throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Greene looks to land a combination but Waller avoids it well. Waller swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Sloppy strikes from Greene. Those never looked like landing. Waller shoots in and bounces Greene off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Greene manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Greene looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Greene pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No joy there for Greene, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jack Greene is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Waller shoots in looking for a takedown. Greene tries to sprawl out of it but Waller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Greene manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Waller fails with a takedown attempt. As Waller backs off Greene throws a huge counter combo but Waller manages to avoid it all. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Waller has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Greene tries to bum rush Waller with a series of wild strikes but Waller uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Waller showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Greene.

Greene will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Waller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Greene looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Greene fails to land with a series of punches.
Greene defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Waller. Jack Greene seems to be getting the better of the standup. Waller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Greene's waist but Greene gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Waller off to one side. Greene's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Greene duly obliges. Greene throws a nice looking combination but Waller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greene can do anything to dispel that myth.

Waller decides to stand up, so the ref orders Greene to his feet. Waller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Waller taking a breather here. Waller stands up and beckons Greene to his feet. Greene lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Waller circles away quickly and effectively. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jack Greene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Oh Waller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Greene dances in with a quick combination. Waller is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Greene snaps Waller's head back. Waller stumbles backwards against the cage. Greene steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Waller's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Waller just didn't come prepared.
