Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Bad Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alphonzo Mirage!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bad Boy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mirage counters with a good low kick that Bad Boy was not able to check.
Bad Boy tries to close the distance and clinch but Mirage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bad Boy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mirage.
Mirage throws a leg kick which misses Bad Boy's front leg but catches the back leg as Bad Boy tries to avoid it.
Bad Boy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mirage as he avoids it easily.
Mirage feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bad Boy's calf.
Bad Boy moves to clinch but Mirage breaks away
and Bad Boy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mirage scores with a jab.
Mirage pushes Bad Boy away with a front kick.
Mirage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bad Boy is breathing heavily.
Bad Boy moves forwards but Mirage connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bad Boy misses with a takedown attempt - Mirage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mirage forces Bad Boy back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee calls for Bad Boy to work.
Mirage lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bad Boy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mirage lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Bad Boy can't find room to land a body shot as Mirage controls the action.
Mirage working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Mirage throws a head punch that misses.
Good body shot from Mirage.
Mirage lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bad Boy backwards.
Mirage prevents Bad Boy from breaking the clinch.
Mirage scores with a shoulder strike.
Bad Boy is rocked!
Bad Boy tries to land a knee to the head but Mirage blocks with his arms.
Oh Bad Boy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short uppercut from Mirage.
Mirage pushes Bad Boy against the cage. Mirage is working some dirty boxing. Mirage pushes off with a quick right hook! Bad Boy goes down! Bad Boy tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Mirage moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alphonzo Mirage!
A very excited looking Alphonzo Mirage rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
