Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Bekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominick Whitaker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dominick Whitaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tom Bekkers! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bekkers throws a push kick but Whitaker slaps the foot to one side. As Bekkers tries to get set, Whitaker tries to push him back and clinch up but Bekkers manages to avoid the attempt. Bekkers closes the distance and clinches. Bekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bekkers. Whitaker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bekkers manages to circle out of the way. Whitaker really is a fat lump. Bekkers clinches up with Whitaker and pushes him back against the cage. Bekkers misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bekkers tries a body shot but Whitaker blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bekkers gets control of Whitaker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bekkers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bekkers is trying to control the position but Whitaker postures up. Whitaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Whitaker showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitaker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bekkers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Whitaker has managed to get both his arms back between Bekkers's legs - danger averted. Bekkers is striking from the bottom but Whitaker uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bekkers is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bekkers trying to control but Whitaker postures up.
Whitaker not doing much here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Whitaker closes the distance and clinches. Bekkers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bekkers delivers a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bekkers moves into the clinch successfully.
Bekkers gets control of Whitaker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bekkers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Whitaker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bekkers dives on top into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Whitaker is on top in guard.
Whitaker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bekkers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Whitaker's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Whitaker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whitaker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Whitaker slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bekkers is trying to stand back up but Whitaker is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Bekkers dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A left and a right from Bekkers both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Dominick Whitaker has been cut. Bekkers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bekkers has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bekkers wants to control from the top but Whitaker keeps moving. Whitaker trying to keep a closed guard but Bekkers is proving a slippery customer.
Bekkers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Whitaker scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bekkers rushes Whitaker and presses him up against the cage. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bekkers. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Bekkers breaks from the clinch.

Bekkers looks for the body kick but Whitaker saw that one coming. Dominick Whitaker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bekkers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Whitaker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bekkers manages to circle out of the way. Whitaker has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Bekkers moves into range and clinches up with Whitaker. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bekkers looking for a takedown. Bekkers breaks the clinch.

Whitaker is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bekkers to keep the fight standing. Bekkers is looking for a takedown. Bekkers is breathing heavily. Bekkers on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitaker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bekkers looks for a takedown but Whitaker sprawls well. Whitaker tries to counter by clinching up but Bekkers breaks away and moves out of range. Dominick Whitaker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Bekkers. Bekkers fails with a takedown attempt. Whitaker seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bekkers goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Whitaker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bekkers manages to circle out of the way. Bekkers avoids the head kick by Whitaker.
Bekkers feints the counter takedown. Bekkers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Whitaker circles away quickly and effectively. Whitaker tries a head kick but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitaker tries to break free but Bekkers pushes him back against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Whitaker as Bekkers tries to tie him up. A left hand lands to the body for Whitaker.
Bekkers is struggling to control the position. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Bekkers jumps guard but Whitaker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Bekkers is working for takedown but Whitaker is calmly controlling the position for now. Whitaker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Whitaker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Whitaker throws a jab but it's blocked by Bekkers. Bekkers has his takedown stuffed and Whitaker moves into the clinch. Bekkers wants to break free but Whitaker has control.
A frustrated look appears on Bekkers's face as he tries to break the clinch. Whitaker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bekkers uses from the top position. Whitaker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bekkers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whitaker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bekkers wants to control from the top but Whitaker keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dominick Whitaker will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dominick Whitaker's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Both fighters circling a little - Bekkers finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. A momentary lapse in concentration from Whitaker enables Bekkers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whitaker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bekkers looking to pass the guard. Bekkers trying to control but Whitaker is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bekkers drops back for a leg! Dominick Whitaker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Whitaker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bekkers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whitaker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Whitaker has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bekkers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Whitaker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bekkers is controlling him. Bekkers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Whitaker is working an open guard so Bekkers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Bekkers fails with a takedown attempt. Whitaker is looking to clinch. Bekkers drives through and clinches with Whitaker against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bekkers jumps guard but Whitaker stands there with Bekkers around his waist. Bekkers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Whitaker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Whitaker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Whitaker throws a combination that misses and Bekkers counters with a nice body shot. Whitaker clinches. Whitaker is defending well against a takedown attempt. Whitaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bekkers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Whitaker manages to avoid it. Whitaker wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Whitaker closes the distance and pushes Bekkers back into the cage. Whitaker is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Whitaker pulls Bekkers into guard.
Whitaker has his hands on Bekkers's head, controlling the position. Bekkers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whitaker swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Whitaker has control of Bekkers's left arm, preventing Bekkers from doing any damage. Bekkers tries to free his leg and advance position but Whitaker is retaining full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dominick Whitaker. I think Whitaker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
