Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Star!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Potter!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter cracks a nice hook into Star's ribs.
Potter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Star moves in looking to clinch but Potter pushes him off.

Potter forces Star back against the cage and clinches.

Star breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Potter throws and low kick but Star moves out of range easily.
Star tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Potter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Potter.
Potter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Star fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Star throws a head punch that misses.
Star tries to stall but Potter uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Star misses with some punches.
Star keeps control of Potter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Potter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Star throws a punch but it's blocked by Potter.

Star breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Potter moves in looking to clinch but Star pushes him off.

A bone on bone clash there as Star blocks the leg kick.
Star tries to clinch up
and Potter counters with a three punch combo that has Star backing up. Star nods at Potter to acknowledge the strikes.

Star fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Potter, pushing him back against the cage.
Star misses with a punch on the inside.

Potter tries to pull guard but Star holds him up against the cage and eventually Potter drops back down to his feet.
Potter blocks an uppercut.
Potter is trying to maintain a safe position but Star gets an underhook and turns Potter into the cage.
Star lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Potter prevents the takedown attempt.
Potter blocks an uppercut.
Star throws a punch but it's blocked by Potter.
Star misses with a punch on the inside.
Potter misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Star.

Star breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Potter shoots in and drives through. Star sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Star has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Potter regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Star is breathing heavily.
Star wants to control from the top but Potter keeps moving.
Potter looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andy Star will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Potter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Star just stands there and leans against the cage.

Star has hold of one of Potter's legs. Potter is fighting the takedown attempt but Star gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Star wants to control from the top but Potter keeps moving.

Potter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Star is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Potter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Star's back instead.
Potter is looking to control Star but Star is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Potter punches the canvas rather than the man.
Star covering up well under a series of strikes from Potter.

Potter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Potter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The is referee keeping an eye on Star - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Potter jumps into guard, dragging Star to the mat.
Potter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Star is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Star wanted to stand there but Potter had control of the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Star takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Andy Star is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
