Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willard Beasley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricardo Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards dodges the punch combination from Beasley.
Edwards tries to clinch up
and Beasley counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Beasley with a flurry of punches that miss.
Beasley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Beasley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Beasley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Edwards's head.
Edwards manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beasley manages to get himself to full guard.
Beasley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards wants to control from the top but Beasley keeps moving.
Beasley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Beasley throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Beasley controls Edwards momentarily but Edwards frees himself.
Edwards postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Beasley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Edwards defends it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Edwards should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Beasley is rocked!
Edwards stands up over Beasley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Oh Beasley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've been informed that Edwards has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beasley has momentary wrist control but Edwards slips an elbow through the middle.
Beasley controls Edwards momentarily but Edwards frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Beasley covers up, he's hurt! Edwards keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Edwards and the ref steps in to end the fight! Edwards can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
