Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clinton Salazar has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clinton Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Jones! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Jones shoots and misses and Salazar moves into the clinch. Salazar tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Salazar keeps him there for the moment. Salazar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Salazar uses from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salazar stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Salazar sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Clinton Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Jones. Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch. Salazar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salazar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones throws a leg kick that is checked and Salazar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Salazar gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Jones moves out of range of the leg kick from Salazar. Despite the aggression on Jones's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Salazar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.

Salazar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Salazar attempts a counter takedown but Jones avoids it well and moves away. Salazar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones instigates a clinch. Jones stalling.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Salazar gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage. Salazar gets underhooks to prevent Jones's takedown attempt.

Jones is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Salazar prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Salazar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones rushes Salazar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Salazar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salazar to the mat! Salazar manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Salazar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Salazar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Clinton Salazar will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salazar pinned against the cage. Salazar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salazar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Salazar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar prevents a body shot from Jones. Jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Salazar backwards. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Salazar is controlling him. Salazar manages to break the clinch.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Salazar was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Salazar is looking to counter with a body kick. Salazar has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salazar as he avoids it easily. As Jones tries to get set, Salazar tries to push him back and clinch up but Jones manages to avoid the attempt. Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jones is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Salazar leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Clinton Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Jones. Salazar throws a nice head kick!

Salazar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Salazar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Salazar has him pressed against the cage. Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Salazar to keep the fight standing. Jones is trying to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salazar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Salazar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Salazar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Salazar controlling from side mount. Salazar stands up and we're back to a striking position. Clinton Salazar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Salazar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clinton Salazar dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones with a poor takedown and Salazar counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt. Frank Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salazar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Salazar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Salazar throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Salazar. Salazar thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Salazar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Salazar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones is pushing down on Salazar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salazar is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Frank Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones is thwarting Salazar's attempts to control the position. Jones passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Salazar! Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Salazar is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position! Salazar gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries for a takedown but Salazar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Salazar moves into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land. Jones breaks from the clinch.
Salazar leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Salazar is looking to counter the offense by Jones and move into the clinch. Clinton Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Jones. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Salazar sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's four minutes gone in the round. Salazar gets the takedown into side control. Salazar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jones looks calm but he's in trouble here. Salazar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jones is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Salazar lets go of the hold and Jones can pop his arm back in it's socket.
