Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conor Newell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Evan Odds!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odds lands a jab.
Newell jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd cheers as Newell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Odds doesn't seem phased though.
Odds moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Newell throws a hook but Odds blocks it.
Odds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Newell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Odds misses with the combination.
A slow jab from Newell misses its intended target.
Odds scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Newell throws a sloppy head kick and Odds moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Newell's head coaches at Private Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Odds keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Newell.
A head kick by Newell misses
and Odds counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Newell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Odds counters with a straight right hand.


Newell is rocked!
Newell loads up on a big right hand but Odds slips the punch.
Oh Newell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Newell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Newell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Odds fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Odds takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Newell seems to have got his legs back now.
Newell pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Newell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Odds throws a body shot but no joy.
Newell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Odds tries to counter with a clinch but Newell shakes him off and moves away.
Odds wants to clinch up but Newell keeps it at a distance.
A punch lands to the side of Newell 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Newell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Odds thows a left - swing and a miss!
Newell swinging wildly here.
Odds looks to land a left hand but Newell moved out of range nicely.
Newell throws a head kick that misses.
Odds is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Newell.
Newell scores with a decent looking hook.
Odds swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Newell throws a head kick that misses.
Odds uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Newell.
Newell pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Odds bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Newell's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Newell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Odds sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Odds avoids the head kick by Newell.
Odds is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Newell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Newell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Odds throws out the jab.

Newell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Newell takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Odds's corner calls for a 1-2. Odds obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A swing and a miss from Odds.
Odds drops Newell with a straight right hand, right on the button! Odds follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Odds!
A less than humble Evan Odds misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Conor Newell spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuck . I underestimated the guy . He was alot better than I thought . I'll go back the gym and I'll come back stronger'.
