Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Bunker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, David Dickinson! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bunker misses with a looping left. Dickinson lunges at Bunker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bunker's hand. Dickinson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bunker.
Bunker misses with an uppercut. Dickinson saw that one coming. Dickinson tries a head kick but it misses.
Bunker misses the jab. Bunker jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A punch combination from Bunker misses. Bunker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dickinson manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bunker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bunker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dickinson was well out of range. Poor timing from Bunker. Good exchange - Bunker coming out on top. Dickinson shoots and misses and Bunker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Bunker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dickinson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bunker to score with a decent uppercut.
Dickinson is rocked! Bunker scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dickinson is still on wobbly legs! Can Bunker finish him? Dickinson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bunker gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Dickinson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
