Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Resnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelly McGrady!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resnar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGrady moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Resnar stuffs the takedown attempt from McGrady. McGrady gets slowly back to his feet.
McGrady shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Resnar as he avoids it easily.
McGrady walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Resnar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brock Resnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelly McGrady.
Resnar throws a combination. McGrady tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Kelly McGrady has been cut.
Resnar clobbers McGrady with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Resnar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Resnar scores with a body shot.
McGrady shoots in but Resnar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Resnar wants to clinch.
Resnar jabs at McGrady's body.
McGrady looks gassed!
McGrady takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Resnar darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McGrady with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Resnar to score with a decent uppercut.
Resnar moves into the clinch.
Resnar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Resnar scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McGrady doesn't seem bothered though.
McGrady takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Resnar scores with a nice right hand.
McGrady is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Resnar drops McGrady with a huge uppercut! McGrady drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Resnar is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Resnar!
