The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manbearpig wants to clinch up but Manny keeps it at a distance.
Manbearpig looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manny is fending him off so far but Manbearpig persists. Nope, Manny circles away and we're back to standing.
A slow jab from Manny misses its intended target.

Manny rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Manbearpig moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Manny looks to land a combination. Manbearpig sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Manny lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Manbearpig circles away quickly and effectively.
Manny tries to bum rush Manbearpig with a series of wild strikes but Manbearpig uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Manny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manbearpig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Manny gets control of Manbearpig's arms and successfully pulls guard. Manny will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
