The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Rose enables De Santo Cristo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rose manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
De Santo Cristo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rose works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rose looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! De Santo Cristo has picked Rose up and slammed him! Rose can't keep hold of the triangle and De Santo Cristo manages to pass to side control!
De Santo Cristo looks up at the clock and then as Rose takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, De Santo Cristo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The strikes coming from De Santo Cristo are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
De Santo Cristo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rose down.
