Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelvin Pouncey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Venom's Theme. Eddie Brock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Brock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Pouncey! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pouncey shoots in for a double leg but Brock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pouncey takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pouncey misses with a two punch combination.
Pouncey takes a swing at Brock's ribcage but misses. Pouncey takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pouncey checks a leg kick. Brock keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pouncey. Pouncey lands with a cross. Nice shot lands for Brock. Brock with a jab. Pouncey misses with a wild combination.
Brock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brock misses with a looping right. Pouncey throws out a counter right but Brock avoids it with no problem. Brock throws a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Brock throws the left hand but Pouncey avoids the punch easily. Brock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pouncey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pouncey avoids the head kick by Brock.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pouncey misses the shot to the body. Pouncey wants to land a leg kick but Brock is out of range. Brock throwing a counter right hand but Pouncey manages to avoid it. Brock throws a hook but Pouncey blocks it. A big right from Pouncey misses. Brock lands a jab to the nose. Brock uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Brock throws a jab when Pouncey was well out of range. And Pouncey tries to counter it with a takedown but Brock pushes his down on his head and steps out. A slow jab from Brock misses its intended target. Pouncey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brock's guard. Pouncey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pouncey defends well. Brock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pouncey wants to control from the top but Brock keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pouncey passes into half guard. Brock is staying active underneath Pouncey, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brock wants to improve his position but Pouncey is controlling well.
Brock moves into full guard.
Brock keeping full guard, as Pouncey tries to pass. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pouncey trying to control the position from guard on top but Brock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pouncey working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pouncey forces his way into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pouncey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Brock is looking to improve his position.
Pouncey wants to take a breather but Brock is having none of it. Brock slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pouncey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Brock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pouncey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pouncey is in close to Brock's body, working some short punches and elbows. Brock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brock is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pouncey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Brock keeping moving, preventing Pouncey from controlling successfully. Pouncey stays in close to Brock's body and controls the position. Brock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pouncey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brock momentarily.
Brock throws a right hand that misses
and Pouncey counters with a takedown into side control. Pouncey trying to control the position but Brock is working away. Pouncey cracks Brock with an elbow. That is naaassty. Brock tries to buck Pouncey off but Pouncey is having none of it. The referee asks Pouncey politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pouncey prefers to stall for the moment though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brock takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Pouncey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brock keeps working. Pouncey controls the position from side control. Pouncey is trying to get an arm triangle but Brock is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pouncey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Brock is looking for a sweep. Pouncey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brock gets full guard. Pouncey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pouncey trying to control but Brock is working from the bottom. Brock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pouncey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pouncey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pouncey wants to control from the top but Brock keeps moving. Pouncey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pouncey lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pouncey trying to control the position from guard on top but Brock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pouncey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pouncey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brock's guard. Kelvin Pouncey has got the better of the ground game so far. Brock tries to roll over but Pouncey keeps him under control. Brock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pouncey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pouncey's back! Brock struggling to land strikes to the head as Pouncey covers up. Brock looking for the RNC. Brock is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Pouncey knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pouncey for a finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pouncey preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Brock. Pouncey manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Pouncey. Pouncey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brock postures up in Pouncey's guard and throws a big left but Pouncey blocks it. Brock throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pouncey works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brock in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pouncey tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pouncey working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brock. Pouncey is trying to keep Brock in close.
Our spies down at at Touch Of Death Combat Academy inform us that Pouncey has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pouncey trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Brock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pouncey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brock, into his guard. Pouncey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Brock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pouncey is aware though and is defending well. Pouncey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Brock keeping full guard, as Pouncey tries to pass. Pouncey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pouncey trying to control but Brock is working from the bottom. Pouncey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kelvin Pouncey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Brock lands with an overhand left. Brock looks to throw the jab but Pouncey is out of range. A big left from Brock misses. Brock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pouncey. Pouncey moves out of range of the strikes. A little jabbing left from Pouncey on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pouncey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pouncey drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Brock defends it well. We've been told by Brock's head coaches at School Of Hard Knocks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Pouncey moves away from the strike by Brock. Pouncey throws a body shot but no joy. Brock staying out of range there. A jab lands there for Brock. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brock misses with a left hand and Pouncey counters with a nice uppercut. Brock tried to score with a low kick but Pouncey checks it. A jab from Brock misses. A jab lands there for Brock. Brock throws a shot from downtown. Pouncey moves away and avoids it. Pouncey throws a leg kick but Brock checks it. A little feinted left hand from Brock on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brock throws a hook to the side of Pouncey's head but Pouncey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pouncey connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Eddie Brock is winning the standup battle so far. Nice takedown defense from Brock. No joy for Pouncey on that attempt. Brock jabs at Pouncey's body. Pouncey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brock defends well and Pouncey ends up having to push Brock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Brock throws out a loose jab but Pouncey uses good head movement to avoid it. Pouncey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brock at a distance.

Brock tries to land a front kick but Pouncey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Pouncey keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brock. Pouncey swings and misses with a shot to the body and Pouncey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Brock bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pouncey's head backwards. A slow jab from Pouncey misses its intended target. A decent looking cross lands there for Brock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pouncey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brock napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brock is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pouncey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Brock moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Pouncey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brock keeping moving, preventing Pouncey from controlling successfully. Brock can't keep his opponent in guard - Pouncey advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Pouncey is trying to control the action in half guard but Brock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pouncey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Brock is not content to let Pouncey control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pouncey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Brock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pouncey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pouncey's back! Brock is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brock is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Pouncey is defending well though. Brock let's go of the attempt for now. Pouncey trying to control the position but Brock manages to sink in the hooks. Pouncey fending off the submission attempt from Brock. Brock misses with a punch to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddie Brock showed his dominance in that final round. I think Brock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
