PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Midick Aiken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aiken clinches with his opponent.
Aiken lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lesnar jumps guard but Aiken stands there with Lesnar around his waist. Lesnar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lesnar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lesnar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lesnar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lesnar seems to be working for a kimura but Aiken defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar is looking to take a break and control but Aiken is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aiken swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Aiken wants to stand but Lesnar is controlling the position.
Lesnar stands and throws Aiken's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Aiken tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lesnar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Aiken stops Lesnar from passing to mount.
Aiken tries to buck Lesnar off but Lesnar is having none of it.

Lesnar tries to advance to mount but can't.
Aiken is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar moves into full mount!
Lesnar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lesnar controlling the pace for now.
Lesnar fails to advance to Aiken's back.

Lesnar swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Aiken is now in Lesnar's guard. A big mistake from Lesnar there, giving up the dominant position!
Aiken wants to stand but Lesnar is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lesnar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aiken's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lesnar stands and throws Aiken's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lesnar trying to control the action but Aiken is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aiken as he jumps to the side.

Aiken clinches up against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Aiken.
Lesnar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aiken smiles and moves away.
No luck for Lesnar with that takedown attempt.
Midick Aiken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aiken sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lesnar somewhat.

Aiken tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lesnar manages to circle out of the way.

Aiken forces Lesnar back against the cage and clinches.
Lesnar is trying to pull guard but Aiken turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Aiken as the two fighters clinch.
Aiken scores with a shot to the side of Lesnar's head.
Aiken lands a left hand.
Aiken lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lesnar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lesnar is rocked!
Aiken lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Lesnar to his knees! Aiken keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Midick Aiken!
