Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zangief Lamochenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Corvo Thunderpart! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamochenko falls off balance throwing a combination
and Thunderpart counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Thunderpart lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Zangief Lamochenko has been cut. Lamochenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thunderpart moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lamochenko misses with a hook to the body
and Thunderpart connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lamochenko throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jab, jab by Thunderpart - just one landing. Lamochenko throws a right and a left that both miss. Lamochenko misses with a double jab
enabling Thunderpart to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lamochenko is holding his hands too far apart here. Thunderpart throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Lamochenko is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Corvo Thunderpart! Corvo Thunderpart decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. Zangief Lamochenko was interviewed post fight and said 'I blame my new manager for this loss'.
