The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bawns throws a head kick but Garner moves out of range.
Bawns throws the left hand but Garner avoids the punch easily.
Ben Bawns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been hearing reports that Garner has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Garner avoids the head kick by Bawns.
Bawns throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Garner's head.

Garner shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Garner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bawns for as long as he can get away with.

A very excited looking Rayder Garner rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
