Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justin White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ontari Vagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ontari Vagos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Justin White!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ontari Vagos!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vagos lands a nice shot that snaps White's head back.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vagos enables White to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vagos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've been hearing that White has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Vagos lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


White has his foot on Vagos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vagos works his way back into a safe position though.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vagos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

White isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vagos stacks White on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vagos!
Vagos creates some space and throws a big elbow, but White sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vagos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as White is looking to escape.

White sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vagos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Vagos swings for the body but White moves out of range.
Justin White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

White closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vagos's guard.
Vagos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
White with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vagos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vagos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vagos!

White sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vagos's guard.

White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vagos is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.
Vagos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. White is working away from the top position though.
Vagos is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
White winds up and cracks Vagos with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. White lands a nice short elbow.

Vagos felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

White working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
White lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

White is working for a submission of some sort.
Vagos is refusing to be controlled, as White sits in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Vagos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back!

White shoots for a double leg takedown but Vagos sprawls well. He's pushed White's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

White decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

You can see the frustration on Vagos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

White takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Vagos is staying active underneath White, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Vagos cracks White with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

White shoots in and bounces Vagos off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Vagos throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! White escapes and throws Vagos's legs to the side, diving into side control!

White goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Vagos rolls with the submission and now he's on top in White's guard! Nice work there by Vagos!

White is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Vagos rolls with it to try and escape but White cranks on the arm and Vagos is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A victorious Justin White thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Ontari Vagos spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll come back stronger, wiser and I do want to wish my opponent well in their future endeavors.'.
