Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thorn Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thorn Drysdale was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thorn Drysdale! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drysdale showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Aldo.
Drysdale tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Drysdale. Aldo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Aldo needs to keep his hands up - Drysdale had a free shot at his head there. Nice defenses there by Aldo. Aldo is looking for a counter combo. Drysdale tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Drysdale. An attempted straight right counter from Aldo misses the target. The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice shot by Drysdale. Aldo wants to clinch up but Drysdale keeps it at a distance. A slow jab from Drysdale misses its intended target. As Drysdale looks to move away, Aldo throws a big counter combo but Drysdale just gets out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drysdale throws a jab when Aldo was well out of range. Aldo thinks about countering with a head kick. Aldo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Drysdale throws an overhand right that lands on Aldo's shoulder, as Aldo tries to avoid the shot. Drysdale keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Drysdale dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Aldo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Drysdale. Drysdale throws a series of punches but Aldo avoids them all with ease. Drysdale jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Aldo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Drysdale tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Drysdale. Good shot there by Drysdale. Aldo dives in and grabs Drysdale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Drysdale pushes down on Aldo's head and hops out. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Drysdale! But no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drysdale throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aldo sees it coming and avoids it easily. BOOM! Drysdale lands a beautiful left hook that drops Aldo. Aldo tries to recover but Drysdale is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Aldo lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thorn Drysdale!
