Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elias Lyon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tinto has chosen Shell Shocked as his entrance music. Tinto has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Daniel Tinto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elias Lyon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Tinto! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyon cracks Tinto with an open hand slap. Lyon blocks a low kick nicely. Lyon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tinto napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lyon throws an elbow but Tinto slips to the side and avoids it well. Lyon scores with punches from side control. Tinto looks winded! Tinto taking a bit of punishment here - Lyon scoring with strikes. Lyon lands an elbow. Tinto is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lyon working the head and body with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lyon working the ground and pound but Tinto is defending the strikes. Lyon is looking to take a break and control but Tinto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lyon taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyon working the head and body with strikes. Lyon controls the position from side control. Lyon tries to advance to mount but Tinto denies him. Lyon scores with punches from side control. Tinto dodges the ground and pound from Lyon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyon cracks Tinto with a big right hand but Tinto just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lyon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Tinto's face as Lyon controls the position. Lyon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tinto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lyon scoring with punches from side control. A lull in the action here. Lyon misses with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyon wants to control but Tinto is keeping him busy. Tinto stops Lyon from passing to mount. Lyon looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Tinto is avoiding damage well.
Lyon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tinto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lyon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lyon is looking to take a break and control but Tinto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lyon throws an elbow but Tinto slips to the side and avoids it well. Lyon happy to just control the position for now. Lyon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tinto for as long as he can get away with. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lyon working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Elias Lyon dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lyon looks for a takedown but Tinto sprawls well. Lyon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lyon trying to control but Tinto is working from the bottom. Lyon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyon is working Tinto over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lyon looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lyon lands a couple of elbows. Tinto is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyon sitting in guard here, content to control. Lyon landing some decent shots from guard. Lyon postures up in Tinto's guard and throws a big left but Tinto blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lyon sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lyon stands and throws Tinto's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lyon landing a few strikes. Lyon laying and praying for a moment but Tinto takes advantage and regains half guard. Lyon is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyon is nestled in close to Tinto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Elias Lyon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lyon is looking to take a break and control but Tinto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lyon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tinto is trying to get back to full guard. Lyon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tinto can do to turn this around? Lyon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lyon drops an elbow to the side of Tinto's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lyon throwing shots but Tinto is blocking nicely. Ground and pound from Lyon. Tinto is refusing to be controlled, as Lyon sits in half guard. Lyon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tinto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lyon is working for a submission of some sort.
Lyon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elias Lyon dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Tinto on the wrong end of a nice hook. A swing and a miss from Tinto. Lyon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A clash of legs there as Tinto blocks the low kick. Tinto steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tinto enables Lyon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tinto manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lyon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lyon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lyon lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tinto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lyon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lyon postures up in Tinto's guard and throws a big left but Tinto blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tinto keeping moving, preventing Lyon from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinto looking for a sweep. Not yet Tinto, not yet. Lyon distracts Tinto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lyon advances to half guard. Lyon working over Tinto with some ground and pound. Tinto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lyon winds up and cracks Tinto with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Lyon is nestled in close to Tinto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lyon works his foot free and advances to mount. Lyon landing shots from mount. Daniel Tinto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyon landing strikes from the mount and Tinto is in trouble! Lyon with good strikes from the mount here! Lyon is landing with some decent strikes but Tinto is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lyon landing shots from mount. Lyon landing strikes from the mount and Tinto is in trouble! Tinto is rocked! Lyon lands a big shot to the head and Tinto winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
