Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause comes to the cage accompanied by Heart of a Champion. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, James Krause! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Duran ! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krause changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duran tries to avoid it but Krause manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duran to the ground. Duran escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Krause gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Krause is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Duran . Krause has a takedown stuffed. Krause fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Krause. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duran wants it to stay on the feet. A nice side step and Duran releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Krause decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krause is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Krause prevents Duran from improving his position. Duran trying to control but Krause postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duran is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Krause passes to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duran is in all sorts of trouble here.
Krause controlling the position easily from mount. Krause looking to control but Duran is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Duran stops Krause from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krause tries to control but Duran wriggling away. Krause controlling his opponent. Duran is trying desperately to improve position. Krause fails to advance to Duran 's back. Duran working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Krause is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Duran can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Krause looking to secure an arm triangle but Duran defends it well. Krause can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Duran is looking to escape. Duran tries to improve his position but instead Krause has taken his back! Krause goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Duran escapes and is now in half guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran prevents Krause from improving his position. The fighters are battling for position here. Krause manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Krause working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duran doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duran manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Krause has a closed guard, preventing Duran from standing up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Krause is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Krause working for a triangle but Duran defends it easily.

Krause tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duran defends well and Krause ends up having to push Duran into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Krause doesn't succeed with the takedown and Duran counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Krause closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duran quickly recovers to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duran can do anything to dispel that myth. Duran is doing well to control the position and prevent Krause from advancing to side control. Duran is in trouble now - Krause has advanced to mount! Krause is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Duran is surviving well by controlling Krause's body position as best he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duran is controlling an arm, preventing Krause from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duran is in all sorts of trouble here.
Krause wants to take Duran 's back but he can't do it this time. Krause wants to finish this one by submission but Duran is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Krause. Krause avoids the attempt from Duran to control. Krause takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Duran felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duran is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Will Krause go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Krause punches the canvas rather than the man. Krause working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Duran is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Krause has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Duran taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). James Krause! James Krause very nearly forgot to thank MayheM sportswear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
