Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bus Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ross Kidd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bus Adams! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams has managed to clinch.
Adams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kidd avoids the head kick by Adams.
Kidd has taken the fight to the clinch.
Adams manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kidd throws a big elbow that misses. Adams throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Adams looking for a sweep. Not yet Adams, not yet. Kidd throwing strikes but missing. Kidd is looking to work some ground and pound but Adams has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kidd lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kidd is looking to stand up but Adams won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kidd is working Adams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kidd postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Adams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kidd wants to stand but Adams is controlling his posture from full guard. Adams pushes Kidd off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Adams throws a head kick that misses and Kidd counters with a nice double leg into side control. Adams won't be happy with that. Kidd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Adams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Kidd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kidd wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adams, who protects the arm well. Kidd is looking to take a break and control but Adams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Adams tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Kidd easily slips into full mount! Adams really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
BOOM! Kidd connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kidd avoids the attempt from Adams to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kidd lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Adams hang on? Adams tries to reverse the position but Kidd maintains control. Adams wants to hold on but Kidd pushes him away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kidd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kidd cracks Adams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Adams manages to regain half guard. Good work. Adams wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Adams is staying active underneath Kidd, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ross Kidd dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Adams closes the distance and pushes Kidd back into the cage. Adams keeps control of Kidd as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kidd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kidd is looking to clinch but Adams is avoiding it.
Bus Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Adams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Adams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kidd's half guard. Kidd has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adams is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams trying to control from half guard but Kidd is working away. Adams seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kidd is positioning himself well to prevent Adams advancing to mount. Adams wants to take a breather but Kidd is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kidd wants to improve his position but Adams is controlling well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adams throws a leg kick but Kidd sees it coming and checks it nicely. Ross Kidd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Adams instigates a clinch. Kidd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kidd manages to break the clinch.
Kidd dives in and scores a takedown into Adams's guard. Kidd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Adams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kidd is aware though and is defending well. Adams is breathing heavily. Kidd lands a couple of elbows. Adams wants to control the position but Kidd says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Kidd throwing shots but Adams is blocking nicely. Kidd working the head and body with strikes. Kidd throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidd scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kidd is keen to just control but Adams is a slippery customer. Adams is looking to control Kidd's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Adams avoid being mounted? Nice strikes from Kidd there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kidd lands a nice short elbow. Kidd sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Adams defending well though. Kidd keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kidd is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Adams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kidd. Kidd is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Adams defends it well. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adams blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kidd. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Adams controlling the position for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Adams throws a head kick that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bus Adams will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Adams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kidd tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kidd keeping full guard, as Adams tries to pass. Kidd is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kidd is really struggling to control Adams but he's trying to hold on to the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams sitting in guard here, content to control. Kidd keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kidd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Adams wanted to stand there but Kidd had control of the position.

Let's hope that Adams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kidd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kidd has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted. Kidd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Adams takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Adams working a defensive guard here.

Adams instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kidd as Adams tries to tie him up. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Kidd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adams scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kidd is looking to regain half guard here but Adams keeps moving and retains side control. Kidd is not content to let Adams control the position. Kidd is trying to control Adams's posture but Adams avoids it. Kidd is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Adams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Who's going to make the next move? Kidd is looking for a sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Bus Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Adams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
