Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Granville Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc Holzpoldl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Granville Myers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jean Luc Holzpoldl! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holzpoldl drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Holzpoldl controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Holzpoldl sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Myers's guard. Holzpoldl content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Myers wants to improve his position but Holzpoldl is controlling well.
Holzpoldl looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Holzpoldl perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Myers tries to roll over but Holzpoldl keeps him under control. Myers is trying is best to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers wants to get back to full guard but Holzpoldl has passed into side control. The referee asks Holzpoldl politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Holzpoldl prefers to stall for the moment though. Holzpoldl's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Myers is not content to let Holzpoldl control the position. Myers tries to get back to half guard but can't. Holzpoldl is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Myers's shoulder. That is not cool.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Holzpoldl moves into the clinch successfully.
Myers gets a trip takedown into half guard. Myers is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Holzpoldl controlling the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holzpoldl moves into full guard.
Holzpoldl pulls Myers in to control the position. Holzpoldl is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Myers gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Myers is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holzpoldl's half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Myers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Myers seems to be working for a kimura but Holzpoldl defends the submission attempt. Myers is breathing heavily. Holzpoldl keeping hold of Myers's head, controlling as best he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holzpoldl slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Luc Holzpoldl dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Holzpoldl shoots in and bounces Myers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Holzpoldl engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Myers wants to sweep here but Holzpoldl controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holzpoldl's corner is telling him to maintain position. Myers has Holzpoldl pulled in close to control his posture. Myers wants to control but Holzpoldl passes easily into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers trying to hold on to Holzpoldl's head to control him but Holzpoldl postures up.
Holzpoldl trying to control the pace. Holzpoldl wants to free his trapped foot but Myers is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jean Luc Holzpoldl has got the better of the ground game so far. Holzpoldl controlling the action here. More stalling from Holzpoldl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Myers has his hands clasped together around Holzpoldl's back. He's all about the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holzpoldl gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Myers is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holzpoldl has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Myers is looking to defend but Holzpoldl has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Myers! Holzpoldl pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Myers taps out and this one is all over!
