Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Herbert Heislhass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Martin Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heislhass scores with a shot to the body.
Heislhass tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taylor swivels and escapes.
Taylor swats away the attempt to clinch by Heislhass.
Heislhass wants to clinch up but Taylor keeps it at a distance.
It seemed like Taylor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Taylor throws a hook to the side of Heislhass's head but Heislhass sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Taylor moves into range and clinches up with Heislhass.
Heislhass can't get the takedown.
Taylor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Heislhass's elbow.

Heislhass escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Heislhass fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taylor avoids it really well and circles away.
Taylor lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herbert Heislhass. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor looks to throw the jab but Heislhass is out of range.
Heislhass attempts a counter takedown but Taylor avoids it well and moves away.
Heislhass is looking to clinch.
Heislhass fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Heislhass tries to clinch up but Taylor circles away and keeps his distance.
Taylor stuffs the takedown.

Heislhass shoots and misses
enabling Taylor to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Herbert Heislhass has been cut.
Taylor waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Heislhass.

Taylor rushes Heislhass and presses him up against the cage.
Taylor lands a right hand that snaps the head of Heislhass backwards.


Heislhass is rocked!
Taylor lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Oh Heislhass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Heislhass is breathing heavily.
Heislhass tries for a takedown. No joy.
Taylor lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Heislhass to his knees! Taylor keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Martin Taylor!
