Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Serge Spectre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phol Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spectre comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Serge Spectre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phol Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spectre throws a half hearted mid kick.
Spectre throws out a loose jab but Hunt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hunt tries to land a leg kick but Spectre saw it coming and moves away.
A left lands for Spectre.
Spectre connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hunt's hands.
Hunt throws a leg kick which misses Spectre's front leg but catches the back leg as Spectre tries to avoid it.
Hunt moves out of range of the strikes.
Spectre takes a swing at Hunt's ribcage but misses.
Hunt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spectre scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hunt doesn't seem bothered though.
Hunt takes one on the button.
Good leg kick by Spectre there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Spectre throws a nice looking combination but Hunt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hunt is looking to clinch.
Hunt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spectre.
Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Spectre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hunt's guard.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Spectre from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt has control of Spectre's left arm, preventing Spectre from doing any damage.
Hunt looking to control.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Spectre controls the pace.
Spectre preventing the sweep.
Hunt keeping full guard, as Spectre tries to pass.
Spectre postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Spectre's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hunt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Spectre pushing down on Hunt's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Spectre passes the guard and advances to mount!
The referee warns Hunt that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Spectre in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hunt taking shots to the head.
Spectre lands a couple of good shots and Hunt has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Hunt trying to control but not successfully.
Hunt is trying to break free.

Spectre scores with punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spectre is landing with strikes from the back.
Spectre throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Hunt trying to control but not successfully.
Spectre misses with a punch to the head.
Spectre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Spectre is trying to stick to Hunt's back but Hunt is turning into Spectre. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Spectre's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hunt.
Spectre is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hunt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hunt tries to stand but Spectre is controlling from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spectre controlling the position.

Spectre working for a triangle but Hunt defends it easily.

Spectre is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Spectre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hunt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hunt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hunt trying to control but Spectre is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serge Spectre dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hunt finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Spectre scores with a nice head shot.

Spectre shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hunt tries to get to full guard but Spectre has control of the leg.
Hunt is still trying to improve position.
Spectre throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Spectre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunt keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spectre has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hunt defend it? Spectre steps over the head and cranks it - Hunt is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Spectre!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Serge Spectre!
Serge Spectre decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Phol Hunt was interviewed post fight and said 'vittu'.
