And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diame Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stevens avoids it really well and circles away.
Stevens's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Stevens duly obliges.
A jab from Stevens finds it's way through Diame Jr's defenses.
Diame Jr walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diame Jr to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Stevens is looking to stand back up but Diame Jr counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Stevens.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevens is trying to control Diame Jr's posture. Diame Jr takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Stevens! Diame Jr is rotating here... this could be the end... Stevens is out! Diame Jr has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
