Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
46 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bartek Pietrzak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Koski! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koski throws a low kick but Pietrzak avoids it. It looked like Pietrzak wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jab by Koski. A thudding body kick lands there by Pietrzak!
Jab from Pietrzak. Koski takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Koski wants to land a leg kick but Pietrzak is out of range. A punch lands to the side of Pietrzak 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pietrzak scores with a jab to the body. Koski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pietrzak sees it coming and avoids it easily. Koski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Pietrzak misses with a double jab.
Pietrzak lands with a slapping head kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Pietrzak shoots in looking for a takedown. Koski tries to sprawl out of it but Pietrzak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Koski stuffs the takedown. Pietrzak moves out of range of the body kick from Koski.
Pietrzak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pietrzak throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Koski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Koski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pietrzak, right into the meat.
Koski throws a lazy head kick and Pietrzak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pietrzak postures up in Koski's guard and throws a big left but Koski blocks it. Koski is pulling down on Pietrzak's head to control his posture. Koski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Pietrzak trying to control but Koski is working from the bottom. Pietrzak wants to pass the guard but Koski is keeping the position. Koski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A solid leg kick lands there for Koski.
Koski cracks the inside of Pietrzak's front leg. Koski walks into a stiff left hand from Pietrzak. Pietrzak throws a big shot that misses. Koski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koski appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. A head kick from Koski lands but Pietrzak takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crunch! Koski slams his shin into Pietrzak's torso. Koski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pietrzak can pounce on him.
Pietrzak throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Pietrzak misses with an uppercut. Koski saw that one coming. Koski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Koski there as he acknowledges the shot. Pietrzak throws the left hand but Koski avoids the punch easily.

Koski avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A slapping body kick lands there for Koski. Koski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pietrzak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koski moves away. Koski scores with a kick to the body.
Koski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pietrzak was well out of range. Poor timing from Koski. Pietrzak moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pietrzak tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Koski tries a low kick but Pietrzak avoids it. Koski throws a looping overhand right but Pietrzak ducks down to avoid it. Koski throws a hook but Pietrzak avoids it easily. Nice straight punches there by Pietrzak. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pietrzak. Koski checks a leg kick nicely. Koski was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Pietrzak closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Koski misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pietrzak keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Koski. Pietrzak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koski as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bartek Pietrzak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pietrzak connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Koski throws a half hearted mid kick. Koski misses with a leg kick. Pietrzak tries to land a front kick but Koski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Koski looks like he wants to counter punch here. Koski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pietrzak lands a nice hook to Koski's body. Koski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nice defenses there by Koski. Pietrzak throws a sloppy head kick and Koski moves out of range easily. A swing and a miss from Koski. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. Pietrzak ducks under a wild hook from Koski. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pietrzak checks a leg kick. Koski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pietrzak. Pietrzak takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Koski leaves Pietrzak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juan Koski will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pietrzak attempts a counter takedown but Koski avoids it well and moves away. Koski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pietrzak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A head kick misses from Koski. Koski moves out of range as Pietrzak strikes. Pietrzak fails with the takedown. Juan Koski seems to be getting the better of the standup. Pietrzak swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pietrzak cracks Koski with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A big right from Pietrzak misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Pietrzak does no damage. Koski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Koski tries a low kick but Pietrzak avoids it. Koski defending well as Pietrzak loads up on a big left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Koski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Koski throws a big shot that misses. Pietrzak misses with a low kick. Pietrzak swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Koski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pietrzak doesn't seem bothered though. Koski slips a jab and a cross from Pietrzak.
Koski takes a swing at Pietrzak's ribcage but misses. Koski ducks under a wild hook from Pietrzak. Koski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pietrzak. Pietrzak changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pietrzak is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Koski thuds a left hand into Pietrzak's body. Koski has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Koski does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. This has been an exciting period of action! Pietrzak lands a head shot. Koski blocks a head kick by Pietrzak.

Koski moves out of range of the strikes. A little jabbing left from Koski on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Koski scores with a hook to the body. Pietrzak takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pietrzak staying out of range there. Juan Koski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pietrzak uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koski.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koski blocks a leg kick. Koski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pietrzak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Koski sprawls well. Koski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pietrzak gets slowly back to his feet. Pietrzak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koski.
An attempted straight right counter from Pietrzak misses the target. Koski slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pietrzak looks to throw the jab but Koski is out of range. Pietrzak throws out a loose jab but Koski uses good head movement to avoid it. A left lands for Koski. Pietrzak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pietrzak connects with a good right hand that stumbles Koski. Koski circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A swing and a miss from Pietrzak. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pietrzak throws a nice looking combination but Koski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Koski lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Pietrzak will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pietrzak has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pietrzak and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A quick step to the side and Pietrzak tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Pietrzak looks to land a right hand but Koski moved out of range. Pietrzak takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Pietrzak takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Bartek Pietrzak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pietrzak misses with an uppercut. Koski saw that one coming. Koski lands with a shot to the body. Koski throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Pietrzak stuns Koski with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Koski scores with a hook to the body. Pietrzak takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. And that's the end of the fight! Juan Koski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Koski winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
