Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Zipperman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dada Segbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Zipperman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Zipperman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dada Segbo!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Segbo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Segbo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Zipperman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Segbo to score with a decent uppercut.

Segbo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zipperman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Segbo has him pressed against the cage.
Zipperman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Segbo smiles and moves away.
Zipperman on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Segbo punishes Zipperman's body with a nice straight punch.
Segbo scores with a hook.
Zipperman walks into a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zipperman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Segbo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Zipperman scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Zipperman postures up in Segbo's guard and throws a big left but Segbo blocks it.
Segbo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Zipperman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Segbo wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Zipperman is now in half guard.

Zipperman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Segbo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Segbo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Zipperman keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Segbo tries to get to full guard but Zipperman has control of the leg.
Zipperman trying to control the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Segbo is trying to get back to full guard.
Segbo is still trying to improve position.
Zipperman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Zipperman is nestled in close to Segbo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Segbo keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Segbo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zipperman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zipperman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Zipperman content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Segbo is positioning himself well to prevent Zipperman advancing to mount.
Segbo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zipperman is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Zipperman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zipperman shoots in looking for a takedown but Segbo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zipperman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dada Segbo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zipperman is breathing heavily.
Segbo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Segbo lands with a shot to the body.
Segbo jabs Zipperman right on the nose. Zipperman blinks but takes it well.
Zipperman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Segbo moves into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Segbo.


Zipperman is rocked!
Segbo pushes Zipperman against the cage. Segbo is working some dirty boxing. Segbo pushes off with a quick right hook! Zipperman goes down! Zipperman tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Segbo moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dada Segbo!
After the fight, Dada Segbo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
