Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Harsh Jak and Pari Jakh. Pari Jakh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Harsh Jak! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Pari Jakh! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Jak shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jakh counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jak manages to end up in side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Jak (4) vs (0) Jakh Jakh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jakh tries to get to full guard but Jak has control of the leg. Jak frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Score +3 for passing guard: Jak (7) vs (0) Jakh Jakh looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Score +3 for taking back: Jak (10) vs (0) Jakh We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jakh tries to break free.
Jak really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jakh.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jakh keeps working. Jakh trying to hold on to Jak's head to control him but Jak postures up.
Jakh felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Jakh preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Jakh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jakh.

Jakh controlling Jak's posture. Jakh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jak trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Jakh manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Jak (10) vs (2) Jakh Jakh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jak looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jakh passes into side control.

Score +3 for taking back: Jak (10) vs (10) Jakh Jakh is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jak is defending well though. Jakh let's go of the attempt for now.

Jakh keeping moving, preventing Jak from controlling successfully. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jakh holds on and takes a little breather.

Jakh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jakh keeping moving, preventing Jak from controlling successfully. Jakh has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jak is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jakh. Score +3 for passing guard: Jak (15) vs (10) Jakh
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Jak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jak wants to control but Jakh is keeping him busy. Jakh is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Jakh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jakh gets back to half guard. Jakh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jak is working away from the top position though.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Jak is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jakh slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jakh has his foot on Jak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jak works his way back into a safe position though.

Jak wants to control from the top but Jakh keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jakh is trying to keep Jak in close.
