Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matti Lautakasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Karelinokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fedor Karelinokov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matti Lautakasa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Karelinokov! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelinokov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lautakasa looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Karelinokov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Karelinokov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Karelinokov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Let's hope that Karelinokov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Lautakasa controls Karelinokov momentarily but Karelinokov frees himself. Karelinokov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lautakasa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Karelinokov is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lautakasa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Karelinokov's back instead. Lautakasa has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelinokov tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Karelinokov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Karelinokov tries to hold on but Lautakasa postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karelinokov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Karelinokov moves into full guard.
Karelinokov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Karelinokov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Despite being in the dominant position, Fedor Karelinokov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lautakasa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Karelinokov counters with a right hand to the body. Karelinokov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Karelinokov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karelinokov stands up over Lautakasa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Karelinokov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lautakasa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Karelinokov pushing down on Lautakasa's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Karelinokov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lautakasa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lautakasa is looking to control Karelinokov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lautakasa avoid being mounted? Karelinokov is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Karelinokov content to control rather than advance. Lautakasa looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lautakasa won't allow Karelinokov to pass to mount. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Karelinokov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lautakasa pinned against the cage. Lautakasa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lautakasa closes the distance looking to clinch and Karelinokov counters with a single leg into guard. Lautakasa didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karelinokov misses with a hook. Lautakasa ducked under it nicely. Karelinokov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Karelinokov working the ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lautakasa tries to lock up and control but Karelinokov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Karelinokov raining down shots from the mount! Lautakasa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Karelinokov is nestled in close to Lautakasa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lautakasa trying to hold on to Karelinokov's head to control him but Karelinokov postures up.
Karelinokov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lautakasa! Lautakasa is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karelinokov lands a heavy elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lautakasa really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Karelinokov content just to control the position here. Karelinokov looking to control but Lautakasa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Karelinokov is landing with some decent strikes but Lautakasa is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Karelinokov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Lautakasa tries to hold on but Karelinokov pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lautakasa flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Karelinokov controlling the position easily from mount. Karelinokov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lautakasa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lautakasa! Karelinokov is trying to control the position but Lautakasa postures up. Karelinokov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Karelinokov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lautakasa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Karelinokov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Karelinokov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lautakasa sprawls well initially but Karelinokov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lautakasa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Karelinokov pulls his head out easily. Karelinokov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Karelinokov in particular looking to stall. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lautakasa is looking for a sweep. Karelinokov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelinokov trying to control the pace. Lautakasa is trying to get back to full guard. Karelinokov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Karelinokov is looking to take a break and control but Lautakasa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lautakasa is trying to maintain the position but Karelinokov is very close to passing his half guard. Karelinokov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fedor Karelinokov has got the better of the ground game so far.

And that's the end of the fight! Fedor Karelinokov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Karelinokov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
