The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Godrigueze is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pepper takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Godrigueze ducks under a wild hook from Pepper.
Godrigueze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pepper manages to avoid it.

Godrigueze drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pepper gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Godrigueze ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Godrigueze no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Godrigueze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
