Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Alvelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lind comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Quicksilver - Ameno. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Lind! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Alvelos! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvelos takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Carlos Alvelos has been cut. Carlos Alvelos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lind ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Alvelos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Alvelos misses with a straight right. Alvelos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lind closes the distance and clinches. Lind breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Alvelos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Alvelos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Jake Lind has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alvelos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lind counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Alvelos is trying to stall.
Alvelos misses with a knee strike.
Alvelos tries to break the clinch but Lind is controlling the position. Lind is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Alvelos can't break the clinch.
Alvelos tries to pull guard but Lind won't allow it.
Jake Lind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Alvelos.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvelos manages to break the clinch.
Alvelos has his takedown stuffed and Lind counters with an outside leg kick.
Alvelos looks gassed! Lind gets in close and instigates a clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Lind.
Lind breaks the clinch.
Lind feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lind has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Alvelos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lind is controlling him. Lind postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lind trying to control but Alvelos is working from the bottom. Lind gets to his feet. Alvelos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvelos throws a head kick that misses and Lind moves into the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lind using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Lind pulls Alvelos into guard.
Lind controls Alvelos momentarily but Alvelos frees himself. Lind wants to stand but Alvelos is controlling the position. Lind seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvelos preventing the sweep. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Alvelos landing with the ground and pound. Alvelos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alvelos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alvelos drops back looking for a leg! Lind is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lind manages to kick Alvelos off! Alvelos jumps back into Lind's guard. Alvelos throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Lind dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Alvelos throws a leg kick and Lind counters with a single leg into guard. Alvelos didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lind trying to stand up but can't free himself from Alvelos's guard. Alvelos looking for a triangle here. Lind is fighting it but it looks tight! Alvelos pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lind is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Carlos Alvelos!
