Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Door Knob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robin Frohm! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knob decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Knob trying to control from half guard but Frohm is working away. Knob wants to work for an arm triangle but Frohm is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Knob is trying to control the action in half guard but Frohm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Frohm is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Frohm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Frohm wants to improve his position but Knob is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Frohm feints and as Knob raises his hands in defense, Frohm changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Frohm wants to control from the top but Knob keeps moving. Frohm preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knob is trying to keep Frohm in close.
Frohm must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Knob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frohm is one step ahead there. Knob is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Frohm pushes Knob up against the cage in a clinch. Knob is fighting off a takedown attempt but Frohm is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Knob to the mat. Knob regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Knob is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Knob keeping moving, preventing Frohm from controlling successfully. Knob trying to keep a closed guard but Frohm is proving a slippery customer.
Frohm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knob swivels though and keeps the full guard. Knob wants to sweep but no luck. Knob looking for a guillotine here but Frohm defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frohm is sitting in close to Knob's body. Knob has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Frohm is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Frohm is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Knob.
