Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefano Magaddino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kelly gets a double leg takedown into Magaddino's guard.
Magaddino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Magaddino has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kelly can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee asks Magaddino politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Magaddino prefers to stall for the moment though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kelly enables Magaddino to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kelly manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Magaddino, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
