Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Pedan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Harrass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrass has chosen Tomorrow as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Pedan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Harrass! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Harrass as he connects with a hook. Harrass swings widly with a right hand
and Pedan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Harrass scores with a leg kick.
We've been informed that Harrass has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Harrass gets a clinch. Harrass lands a hook to the side of the head. Harrass lands with a right to the head. Harrass has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pedan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A short left from Harrass. Harrass wants a takedown but no success here.
Still in the clinch, Pedan scores with a nice short uppercut. Pedan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Harrass blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harrass has hold of one of Pedan's legs. Pedan is fighting the takedown attempt but Harrass gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Harrass is fighting to break Pedan's control of his arms but Pedan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Pedan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Pedan keeping moving, preventing Harrass from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pedan wants to get back to his feet but Harrass is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Harrass postures up.
Pedan is controlling Harrass's posture. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pedan wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pedan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harrass takes the fight into the clinch. Harrass stalling in the clinch.
Harrass misses with a hook from the clinch. Nice body punch from Pedan - that landed with a thud.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pedan misses with a body punch.
Harrass gets through Pedan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Harrass has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pedan after a bit of a struggle. Alexander Pedan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harrass. Harrass fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Pedan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Harrass lands an uppercut. Harrass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Good shot there by Harrass. Pedan misses with an uppercut
enabling Harrass to counter with a crisp jab. Harrass is looking to chop away at Pedan's legs. Pedan scoring well with a low kick there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big right from Harrass misses. Pedan misses with a double jab.
Harrass looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A cross from Pedan lands. Pedan swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrass. Pedan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrass connects with a leg kick. Pedan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Harrass looks to land a right hand but Pedan moved out of range. Pedan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Harrass throws a right hand that Pedan ducks under and follows up with a left that Pedan also avoids with ease. Pedan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pedan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pedan clinches. Pedan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Harrass is rocked! A short body shot lands from Pedan as the two fighters clinch.
Pedan misses with a hook from the clinch. Pedan scores with a shoulder strike. Harrass is still on wobbly legs! Can Pedan finish him? Pedan lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pedan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pedan batters Harrass with a massive right followed by a huge left! Harrass is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Pedan lands a final crushing right hand to drop Harrass to the mat with a gruesome thud! Pedan is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alexander Pedan! Alexander Pedan retains his bantamweight title!
