Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Khalabib Nurmagodingdong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Dayley! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayley gets the takedown into side control. Nurmagodingdong looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Dayley in side control, throwing shots but Nurmagodingdong defends. Dayley stands up. Dayley throws a wild body kick that Nurmagodingdong sees coming a mile off. Nurmagodingdong gets tackled into the cage by Dayley. Dayley maintains the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Dayley tries to break free but Nurmagodingdong pushes him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nurmagodingdong drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dayley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dayley has Nurmagodingdong pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dayley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nurmagodingdong tumbling to the mat - Dayley dives into Nurmagodingdong's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dayley stands and throws Nurmagodingdong's legs to the side, diving into side control. The strikes coming from Dayley are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Dayley just content to control the position. Dayley fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dayley throws an elbow but Nurmagodingdong slips to the side and avoids it well. Dayley decides to take the fight back to the feet. Dayley drives through with a takedown into Nurmagodingdong's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dayley content to stall in guard here. Dayley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dayley wants to stand but Nurmagodingdong is controlling his posture from full guard. Nurmagodingdong keeping moving, preventing Dayley from controlling successfully. Dayley engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dayley lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dayley content to stall in guard here. Dayley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dayley fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nurmagodingdong moves out of range as Dayley throws a body kick.

Dayley closes the distance and clinches. Dayley has had enough of the clinch but Nurmagodingdong keeps him there for the moment. Dayley is trying to drag Nurmagodingdong to the mat but Nurmagodingdong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Nurmagodingdong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dayley's efforts to push away. Dayley wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dayley wants to take the fight to the mat but Nurmagodingdong manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dayley is trying to pull guard but Nurmagodingdong turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Khalabib Nurmagodingdong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Dayley.

Dayley seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dayley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nurmagodingdong keeps working. Dayley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nurmagodingdong has managed to free his arm - good work.

Dayley slips a nice elbow through Nurmagodingdong's hands, connecting with Nurmagodingdong's forehead. Dayley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Dayley landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Dayley performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dayley is continuing to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dayley missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dayley seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dayley is looking for a kimura but Nurmagodingdong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dayley to get the leverage. David Dayley has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dayley gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Dayley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dayley showed some decent athleticism there. Dayley uses his free foot to push down on Nurmagodingdong's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nurmagodingdong. Dayley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dayley working for a guillotine from mount but Nurmagodingdong is in no mood to give up.

Dayley throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dayley tries to control but Nurmagodingdong wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dayley with shots to the head and body - Nurmagodingdong looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that's the end of the fight! David Dayley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dayley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
