Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jock McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes to the cage accompanied by Icepick - Onward To Victory. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner closes this distance looking for a takedown but McTavish circles away. McTavish changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McTavish decides to take the fight back to the feet. McTavish closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. McTavish pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Turner throws a right hand that McTavish ducks under and follows up with a left that McTavish also avoids with ease. McTavish fails with the takedown and Turner counters with a lovely straight right hand! Turner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Turner jabs at McTavish's body. Turner moves into range and clinches up with McTavish. Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McTavish doesn't succeed with the takedown and Turner counters with a head kick. Anthony Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jock McTavish. Turner misses with the combination.
McTavish closes the distance looking to clinch and Turner counters with a two punch combo. Jock McTavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McTavish swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. McTavish shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turner as he jumps to the side. McTavish looks gassed! McTavish has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turner finds it's way round the side to connect with McTavish's head. Turner lands with a nice combination. McTavish backs away looking to recover. Turner moves into range and clinches up with McTavish. McTavish is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McTavish shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McTavish tries to clinch up and Turner counters with a body kick that stops McTavish in his tracks momentarily. Turner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. A combination from Turner does no damage. Turner throws a combination that misses and McTavish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turner wants to stand but McTavish is controlling the position. Turner looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTavish wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Turner trying to strike off his back.
Turner wants to stand and escape but McTavish is having none of it. Turner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Turner has his feet on McTavish's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Turner misses with a double jab.
McTavish with a poor takedown and Turner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Turner. Turner wants a takedown.
Turner is trying to break the clinch but McTavish has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTavish has clasped his hands together around Turner's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Turner is trying to get back to his feet. Turner is trying to improve his position. Turner is pushing McTavish's head away, looking to escape. McTavish manages to hold on to the position though. Turner tries to bench press McTavish off him but McTavish keeps the position. McTavish in side control lands a decent elbow. Turner is looking to regain half guard here but McTavish keeps moving and retains side control. McTavish lands a nice forearm strike. Turner wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McTavish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McTavish closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McTavish seems to be working for a kimura but Turner defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner pushes McTavish off looking to stand but McTavish dives back in and keeps control.
Turner makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! McTavish checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. McTavish throws a combination. Turner tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McTavish. A punch combination from McTavish misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A combination from Turner does no damage. Turner stuffs the takedown attempt from McTavish. McTavish gets slowly back to his feet. McTavish shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jock McTavish will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Turner tries to clinch but McTavish is having none of it. Turner keeps the fight on the outside. Nice takedown defense from Turner. No joy for McTavish on that attempt. McTavish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turner but Turner pushes him off and we're back to square one. McTavish moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Turner throws a one two combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice body kick there by Turner. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Turner displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. McTavish fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Anthony Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jock McTavish. McTavish throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Turner counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner decides to stand back up. Turner steps back and let's McTavish get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anthony Turner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McTavish fails with the takedown. Turner lands a high kick!
McTavish shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Turner counters with a left and a right that stings McTavish. McTavish tries to clinch but Turner is having none of it. Turner lands with a nice combination. McTavish backs away looking to recover. McTavish decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. McTavish stops Turner from getting back to his feet.
McTavish uses his free foot to push down on Turner's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Turner. McTavish won't let Turner get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTavish postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Turner looks a forlorn figure.

McTavish tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. McTavish can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Turner is looking to escape. Turner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Turner is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTavish unloading with bombs! Turner has left one of his arms exposed and McTavish doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Turner screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
