The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Persson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Persson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Persson showed some decent athleticism there.
Franklin is looking to escape.
Franklin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Persson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Franklin is kicking away at Persson from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Persson grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Franklin trying to push Persson off... Franklin taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
