Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duane Carman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Duane Carman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Martin doesn't manage to clinch there - Carman circles away.
Martin misses with a takedown attempt - Carman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carman looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Martin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carman stalks Martin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Martin's face. Martin staggers backwards, shaken.
Carman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Carman feints a jab promting Martin to slip. Carman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Martin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Martin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Duane Carman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Martin is rocked!
No joy there for Martin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Martin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Martin is looking to clinch but Carman is avoiding it.
Carman raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Martin seems to have got his legs back now.
Martin fails with the takedown
and Carman counters with a series of strikes. Martin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Carman throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Martin's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Carman dives in looking to finish as Martin flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Carman's strikes! Carman is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Martin's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Martin was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
