0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uncle Acid! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribeiro wants to clinch and Acid counters with a straight right hand. Ribeiro tries to clinch but Acid moves away and Acid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ribeiro tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Acid counters with a right hand to the body. Ribeiro wants to clinch up but Acid keeps it at a distance. A little jabbing left from Acid on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ribeiro wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ribeiro trying to control the position but instead, Acid has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ribeiro into the cage. Acid scores with an uppercut up the middle. Acid pushes off an throws an elbow but Ribeiro leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Acid throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. A short right hand to the side of the head by Acid. Acid has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Ribeiro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Acid smiles and moves away.

They are putting on a show! Acid lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Acid pushes Ribeiro back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Acid lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ribeiro backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uncle Acid dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ribeiro takes the fight into the clinch. Acid lands an uppercut. Acid has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ribeiro wants to stall.
Ribeiro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Acid uses from the top position. Ribeiro is trying to control the position but Acid postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribeiro has his hands on Acid's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ribeiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Acid frees his head nicely. Oh but Ribeiro has switched to an armbar! Acid is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
