Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nelson Country!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 94 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Goran Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzeneg has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Country finds it's way round the side to connect with Schwarzeneg's head.

Country lands a big shot that drops Schwarzeneg! Can he finish him?


Schwarzeneg is rocked!
Country looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Schwarzeneg is still in real trouble! Can Country finish him?
Country's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Country has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Schwarzeneg seems to have recovered his senses.
Country advances to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Country keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Country is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Schwarzeneg sees it coming and defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Country seems to be working for a kimura but Schwarzeneg defends the submission attempt.
Country wants to pass the guard but Schwarzeneg is defending well.
Country performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schwarzeneg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Country. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Country.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ground and pound from Country.

Country is looking for a kimura but Schwarzeneg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Country to get the leverage.
Country performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Country wants to pass the guard but Schwarzeneg is defending well.
Country passes to side control.

Country decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Country connects with a leg kick. Schwarzeneg looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Country drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Schwarzeneg wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Country is putting a hurting on Schwarzeneg here, landing some big shots from side control.
Country controls the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Country landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nelson Country dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Schwarzeneg takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Schwarzeneg misses with a double jab

and Country counters with a right hand that sends Schwarzeneg tumbling to the canvas! Can Country finish him? He dives into Schwarzeneg's guard looking to do just that!
Country is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Schwarzeneg can't keep his opponent in guard - Country advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Country stalling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Country is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Country uses his free foot to push down on Schwarzeneg's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Schwarzeneg.
Country mounts Schwarzeneg! Really nice guard pass there!
Country controlling from mount.
The referee warns Schwarzeneg that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Country moves to the back position.

Country is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Schwarzeneg is tapping out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nelson Country!
