PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Juju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saulnier Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Juju might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dropkick Murphys - Fightstarter Karaoke. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juju misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Some wild striking there from Juju.

Raymond tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Raymond not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Juju is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Raymond is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Raymond has escaped and now he's on top!

Raymond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Juju, up you get!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Juju closes the distance and clinches.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Juju sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Raymond wants to control but Juju is keeping him busy.
Raymond is taking a breather. Juju says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Raymond decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Juju swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Juju working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Raymond doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Raymond manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
